We are a new, yet simple non-profit organization as well as a commercial concept in U.S./Canadian Indigenous Northern Great Plains Arts and Culture (http://www.usbr.gov/native/regions/gp/GP-Tribes.pdf). In our Wall, SD 36,000+ sq ft facility, all can experience authentic Native American traditions from the region which includes: a hand made traditional Indian crafts boutique WASTELA INDIAN CRAFTS BOUTIQUE; RAIN DANCER MODERN FINE ART GALLERY; in late FALL 2014, the WARRIOR WALK - interactive hallway dedicated to all our VETERANS and LAKOTA STAR KNOWLEDGE; & many Visitor hands-on experiences such as Indian Beadwork, Indian porcupine quillwork at times, Lakota tipi raising, traditional story telling, Warrior face painting, replicating a Lakota Winter Count, braiding of a horse tail, amongst other family friendly activities. Our DAY SHOWs are performed in the afternoons and are titled as such and are mostly based on ancient stories that continue into our mordern times: "TATANKA BUFFALO SHOW", "SUNKA WAKAN OHITIKA SHOW (Lakotas' First Horses)", "MINI POWWOW (Presentation as to what to expect at most Native American Powwows worldwide), & "IKTOMI NA ITUNK TANKA SHOW (Iktomi and the Muskrat: A Lesson in Sharing)"; FINALE NIGHT SHOW - "CRAZY HORSE: TASUNKE WITKO" is also a new feature for families. Both productions are performed in our presentation space we call the WANBLI THEATRE. We are also happy to announce that the WOUNDED KNEE MUSEUM has reopened with us!
TOURS to the Pine Ridge Indian Reservation are also available. These include stops at the memorable and actual WOUNDED KNEE MASSACRE SITE; at times a future LAKOTA BOW&ARROW CAMP/TREK; a SCENIC OVERLOOK in our otherworldly BADLANDS; a PHOTO-OPP stop in GHOST TOWN 'SCENIC'; INDIAN ART STUDIO/ART TREK EXPERIENCES; amongst other pleasures.
