![]() the cousins - chrissy & kirichrissy seumanutafa-collins and kiri close were both raised mainly on the island of Tutuila, American Samoa. they bring their pacific island cultures authentically to the good people of the Northern Great Plains - beginning with the state of South Dakota. | ![]() chrissy seumanutafa-collinschrissy was born and raised in American Samoa and has resided in Rapid City, SD since 1997. all her life, she has remained fluent in her Native Samoan language, cultural customs, arts (including Native island dance), and history. chrissy has a natural, uncommon grace in dancing and choreographing native Samoan women's performance. she continues to progress Luau Polynesia to the next level for her hosts here in the Northern Great Plains region. | ![]() kiri closekiri 'punipuao' close was born & raised in American Samoa in the Pacific. she has fluently danced, sung, lived her native Samoan culture her entire life. she is a well versed culturalist of other native Pacific cultures having performed these as soon as she could walk: Hawaii, Tonga, Fiji, Tahiti, Maori, etc. kiri is a former professional dancer at the world renown Polynesian Cultural Center on O'ahu island in La'ie, Hawaii & is fluent in her native Samoan language. |
